Easter blood donation
05 Apr 12
Yesterday morning there was an annual blood donation programme at INF's health and development programme in Nepal's Banke District. 'The Red Cross in Banke's district centre Nepalgunj came to the INF TB clinic to collect the blood,' says INF's Phil Davis. 'As a result of this INF gets a credit at the Red Cross blood bank, which is used for INF patients who need blood but have no suitable family member who can donate. INF staff and members of local churches are encouraged to donate. It's a particularly appropriate time of year for the blood donation, as Christians remember the blood which Jesus gave for us.'
