The 2011 UK Nepal Conference organised by INF UK and the United Mission to Nepal [UMN] starts today at The Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire. Running until Sunday, this year's conference has the theme 'Rooted in the character of God'. Three Bible talks on the theme will be given by former INF Director Steve Aisthorpe, entitled 'Extravagant love', 'Love of strangers' and 'Costly love'. The conference will feature twelve different seminars, including: 'INF projects: our work, our mission' and 'Nepal: the current context', both led by INF Nepal Programmes Director Prem Subedi; 'Working with Nepali migrants in India', led by former INF Member Richard Odell; and 'INF medical camps', led by INF Member Sandra Chinnery and Dr Mike Smith. There will also be a special fellowship service, led by the UK-based Nepali pastoral workers Tula Rai and Abraham Shrestha. A collection will be made for INF's work among Nepali migrants in India.
