आई एन एफ नेपाल हरियो खर्क अस्पतालले सामाजिक विकास मन्त्रालय, गण्डकी प्रदेश सरकार तथा राष्ट्रिय अपाङ्ग महासंघ नेपालसँगको सहकार्यमा अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुको ३० औं अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय दिवस विविध कार्यक्रमहरु आयोजना गरि मनाएको छ ।
अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुको हक अधिकारका सवालहरुलाई विश्वव्यापी रुपमा उजागर गर्न सन् १९९२ देखि संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको आह्वानमा संसारभरि हरेक वर्ष ३ डिसेम्बरका दिन यो दिवस मनाउने गरिन्छ ।
यस दिनलाई भव्यताका साथ मनाउने क्रममा विविध खेलकुद प्रतियोगिताहरु आयोजना गरिएको थियो जस्तै महिला तथा पुरुष व्हीलचियर दौड, दृष्टि सम्बन्धि अपाङ्गता भएका महिला तथा पुरुषहरुको १०० मिटर दौड तथा प्रथम आइ एन एफ नेपाल राष्ट्रिय व्हीलचियर बास्केटबल प्रतियोगिता । बिजेता प्रतियाेगीहरूलाई पृथ्वीचाेकमा आयाेजित एक कार्यक्रममा गण्डकी प्रदेश सरकारका मुख्यमन्त्री माननीय कृष्ण चन्द्र नेपाली पोखरेलज्यूले पुरस्कार वितरण गर्नुभयाे ।
यस वर्ष नेपाल सरकारले “हाम्रो प्राथमिकताको आधार, अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिको अधिकार” भन्ने नारा तथा संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघले “कोभिड पछिको समावेशी, पहुँचयोग्य र दिगो संसारमा अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुको नेतृत्व र सहभागिता” भन्ने नारा तय गरेका थिए ।

We celebrated 30th International Day for Persons with Disabilities by organising various programmes in close collaboration with the Provincial Government’s Social Development Ministry and National Federation of the Disabled – Nepal, Kaski.
The winners of different games were felicitated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel.
Proclaimed by United Nations in 1992, this day aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development and increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
The theme for this year is “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.”
