Ben Thurley joins the INF Australia team bringing a wealth of experience and passion from his work in Nepal and Australia.
Ben is the new Relationships Manager, coordinating INF’s work in Australia through events and developing relationships with churches across the country.
He and his family served in Nepal for almost four years between 2008 and 2012. Ben says the people of Nepal occupy a special place in his heart.
“I was constantly inspired and encouraged by Nepalese friends and colleagues, community workers and activists, churches and local organisations, seeking to serve their communities and working to overcome poverty and injustice,” says Ben. “Being able to work with, and learn from such people was a complete privilege and joy. They have figurative [and often literal] mountains to climb daily and the world is a better place because they live and love and serve.”
Ben has previously worked for other Christian organisations that advocate for the poor and victims of injustice. He’s worked with TEAR Australia and, most recently, held the role of National Coordinator for Micah Australia.
“I am delighted that Ben is joining the INF team in Australia,” says Phil Morris, INF Australia CEO. “He brings wisdom and great experience from previous roles in Australia and Nepal that will enable him to build strong relationships with supporters in Australia and grow the work of INF in Nepal.”
