Join HealthBridge Foundation of Canada’s Steps for Change to walk, run or roll in solidarity with women in Nepal who need better access to health and nutrition for them and their children.
Steps for Change challenges you to take 10,000 steps a day for four weeks—from September 14 to October 12. As you step, HealthBridge takes you on a virtual journey with women in Nepal, where you catch a glimpse into the obstacles they face to access health and nutrition. Along the way, see how your steps support local communities to improve health and nutrition for vulnerable mothers and children.
Women and children in rural Nepal are at high risk of preventable death and disease, particularly during childbirth and in the first 1,000 days of a child’s life from pregnancy to age two. Poverty, long distances to health facilities, and a lack of health services prevent women and children from receiving the care and nutrition they need to not only survive—but to thrive.
In 2016 HealthBridge launched Saving lives of mothers and children in Nepal and Vietnam to reduce preventable death and illness for women and children. International Nepal Fellowship is currently partnering with HealthBridge to strengthen health systems and improve nutrition in Banke district, Nepal. Together we are working to ensure all women and children have what they need to live strong, healthy lives. All proceeds from Steps for Change support Saving lives of mothers and children in Nepal and Vietnam.
