Principal

Are you passionate about Christian education, visionary leadership and cross-cultural community, and ready for an adventure that combines purpose and impact? The Pokhara Study Centre (PSC) is seeking a committed and experienced Principal to lead our thriving community into its next chapter of development. Serving the wider vision of the International Nepal Fellowship (INF), PSC supports the learning and wellbeing of over 40 young people from diverse cultural backgrounds, enabling expatriate families to remain in Nepal while contributing their technical skills to the work of INF and the community.

We are dedicated to nurturing and inspiring students aged 3 to 18 years. PSC currently consists of one pre-school class, two multi-age classes for students aged 5 to 11, and a class that facilitates older students engaging in distance education.

We are looking for a leader who will continue to nurture its strong culture of learning, faith and community.

About the Role:
The successful applicant will lead a small, dedicated team, build strong relationships in the community, and champion a holistic, child-centred approach to education grounded in Christian faith and service.

The Principal oversees Nepali and expatriate staff in the day-to-day running of PSC and provides strategic leadership for its ongoing development.

Key responsibilities include guiding curriculum implementation, supporting staff and student wellbeing, leading professional development, overseeing school operations, and shaping the long-term vision and growth of PSC.

All expatriate volunteers applying for an official visa require:
  • A Master’s degree [or equivalent] in a relevant subject and at least five years of experience in a related field.
  • The desire to combine their Christian faith and technical expertise to equip, encourage and strengthen the capacity of others.
  • A good understanding of, and full commitment to, INF’s values and a passion for intercultural Christian service.
  • Intercultural training/experience.
  • A sending agency/organisation.
Even without relevant qualifications, there may be opportunities to serve in an advisory/training capacity for three months or less.
Please note that INF is unable to pay salaries to expatriate workers in Nepal.
