Ideally with a Master’s degree in gender and/or disability studies, this person would be a key support at both the organisation and community project level. Their responsibility would be to mainstream Gender Equity and Disability Social Inclusion (GEDSI) strategies and approaches into projects, concept notes and project design. Curriculum development, training and needs identification through community field visits and discussions with the CHD project staff would be an essential component of this work.
All expatriate volunteers applying for an official visa require:
- A Master’s degree [or equivalent] in a relevant subject and at least five years of experience in a related field.
- The desire to combine their Christian faith and technical expertise to equip, encourage and strengthen the capacity of others.
- A good understanding of, and full commitment to, INF’s values and a passion for intercultural Christian service.
- Intercultural training/experience.
- A sending agency/organisation.
Even without relevant qualifications, there may be opportunities to serve in an advisory/training capacity for three months or less.
Please note that INF is unable to pay salaries to expatriate workers in Nepal.
